CLINICS FOR LONG TERM CONDITIONS
- Asthma & COPD
- Coronary Heart Disease
- Chronic Kidney Disease
If you suffer from one of the above conditions you will receive annual review reminders asking you to book an initial appointment with one of our Health Care Assistants where she will carry out the background checks such as blood pressure, height, weight and often take a fasting blood test.
An appointment will then be made for a review with a practice nurse who will discuss the blood results and any further management of the condition that may be needed. We strongly advise that you attend for your reviews as this may prevent you developing complications from your condition.
The practice also provides:

Contraceptive Pill & Depo Injection
The contraceptive pill is available from any of the Practice Nurses. An appointment is necessary for the nurse to check your health and provide any advice. Please book an appointment with one of our practice nurses to discuss starting, changing or carrying on your pill. We also offer the Depo injection, which is also available from all Practice Nurses.
Coils & Implants
We run a coil and implant clinic weekly in the surgery where an appointment can be arranged through the practice nurse.
These clinics are usually held every Thursday. In addition to this we are a condom distribution centre and will give out condoms on a drop-in basis without the need for an appointment.
